Here’s a photo of Eyecycle Colorado’s Randie Polidori and Andre van Hall during their Ride the Rockies tour this June 12-16, 2016.

Great job Randie and Andre!

From the Denver Post:

Three … two … one, quietly says Andre van Hall, as he and riding partner Tim Jackson push off on their Santana tandem bicycle for the third leg of this year’s Ride The Rockies tour on Tuesday.

It is just after 6 a.m., and the temperature hovers around 35 degrees. A fresh coat of frost lines the mountaintops above, and ice coats the bicycle’s orange and maroon frame and two leather seats, leftover from the rain the day before. Jackson is captain, sitting in the front, and van Hall is the so-called “stoker” — the person pedaling behind.

van Hall, the former general manager of the Denver Athletic Club, is a full-time motivational speaker. Efforts like this 399-mile, six-day odyssey are easy to see why: In 2008, he lost his vision in his left eye, and the same degenerative disease then claimed the vision in his right eye three years later, in 2011.
